It’s time to get your indoor exercise equipment for the summer. The season can take a toll on your workout schedule, especially if you work around-the-clock. With so much to do and with so little time, we’ve pulled together exercise equipment that are great for indoor exercise, so that you can train right from the comfort of your own home.

1. Body Sculpture Yoga Mats – Planking

Exercise Equipment

The yoga mat by Body Sculpture is your best friend for the summer. Simple exercises like planking allow you to engage various muscle groups to effectively tone your abs and back. Like other callisthenic workouts, this exercise requires absolutely no extra weights or exercise equipment which makes it convenient for working mums, homemakers and workaholics.

To get the perfect planking position, lie flat on the yoga mat and position your feet so that your toes touch the ground. Bring your hands forward, in line with your shoulders and keep your forearms parallel to one another. Slowly lift your torso and legs off the floor and move the weight to your forearms, toes and elbows.

2.Spalding Indoor/Outdoor BasketballRussian Twist

Exercise Equipment

The Russian Twist is another great core exercise that can be done using a simple basketball as exercise equipment. The full abdominal routine targets your obliques, your back muscles and your spine. If you don’t have any weights or medicine balls at home, then you can use a soccer ball or basketball to carry out the reps.

Kick off your routine by creating an imaginary V-shape with your body. Extend your arms in front of you and keep them perpendicular to your torso with hands clasped on the ball. With your legs bent at the knees, twist your torso to the right side, hold the contraction for a second and move back to the starting position.

3.Carlton Badminton RacketIndoor Badminton

Exercise Equipment

An easy aerobic exercise, badminton can be played at any time of the day. The best part about badminton is that your muscles contract and relax in a very short space of time which helps with toning the arms, back and legs. This sport improves your metabolism by releasing various toxins in the form of sweat from the body and it makes a great stress-busting activity.

The good thing about badminton is that it does not require a specific amount of time or reps to get you in shape.

4.Mio Heart Rate Sports WatchStair Climbing

Exercise Equipment

An element of cardio is essential for weight loss and toning up, so what do you do when you’ve absolutely no time to run for an hour on the treadmill or walk on the stepper? The answer to this is simple: take the stairs!

Climbing just eight flights of stairs a day reduces general health risk by up to 33%. The vigorous and continuous movement of your legs not only tones them but also enhances your hips and keeps a check on your cardiovascular muscles by increasing airflow to all areas of the body. From reducing high blood pressure to lowering your risk of diabetes and osteoporosis, stair climbing is one of the simplest indoor exercises that can be done at any time of the day.

This heart rate sports watch is a superb piece of exercise equipment for cardiovascular fitness on-the-go. A simple Bluetooth Smart connectivity to your smartphone allows you to schedule your next stair climbing session with a simple click of a button.
