Still haven’t jumped on the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019 bandwagon yet? How about lacing up for Dubai Run with DFC 2019 and becoming one of the first ones to run down the Sheikh Zayed Road? Move it, or lose it!
As a part of the 30×30 challenge, Sheikh Zayed Road will transform into a running track for the first time ever on Friday, 8th November 2019 in partnership with Sun and Sand Sports. Come down with your family and friends and get ready to sweat up a storm while enjoying a completely different perspective of the city’s skyline. The event is free of charge and open to all. If getting fit isn’t enough motivation for you, Sun and Sand Sports will be giving vouchers to all participants. That’s not all, the top 6 winners will also receive a gift from Sun and Sand Sports! The run kicks off at the Dubai World Trade Center at 6am and has 2 categories – a 5km fun run and a 10km run. The 10km run is open to those aged 18+ and must be completed within 80 minutes.
Things to note:
- Mandatory registration before race day for all attendees 8 years and over.
- All participants 8 years and above must have a race bib in order to participate in the run – collect yours before race day from DWTC or selected Sun & Sand Sports stores (City Centre Mirdif, The Dubai Mall and Jumeirah Centre).
- Kids below 8 must be accompanied by their parents.
- Arrive early to get a parking spot and to the Assembly Area on time.
- Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed for the 5km fun run, rollerblades and scooters are not.
- Water and medical stations available at regular intervals along both routes.
