Surfing – it’s one of those awesome sports that we all want to get into, but it can be tricky to get good at. Responsible for some of the most envious ‘surfer dude’ images from the beaches of the UAE, we’ve compiled a list of surfers who show us how it’s done when it comes to some over-the-top wave action.

The UAE has never been known as a hub for surfing enthusiasts but over time it has gained its fair share of followers. Check out our favourite surfer dudes and dudettes from in and around the UAE and follow them on their aquatic adventures.

Conrad Bay and Lucas Bay, popularly known as The Bay Brothers are local adventurers, surfing enthusiasts and outdoor vloggers. Loving the outdoors, and specifically the sea, the brothers have created a name for themselves. From skating to paddle boarding and surfing, there isn’t an adventure sport they haven’t tried out.

A Team Rider for Surf House Dubai, Karina Bensemann, or more commonly known as catchkarina is a Crossfit Coach and surfer. A sports enthusiast and outdoor fanatic, Karina has ridden some sick waves in many countries around the world. She is also a fitness devotee and beach lover, and it all comes to light through her Instagram account as she hits the waves and shows us how it’s done.

Emirati surfer, Mo Rahma continues to raise the profile of surfing as a sport in the UAE region as he competes in world-class surfing events. Mo introduces himself as someone who chases ‘life-changing stories, waves, tubes and smiles around the world’ – check out the SSS interview on the Become blog and follow him on Instagram for all his ocean adventures.

Surfu, also known as Marat Hasanov, is a Dubai based surfer and sports enthusiast. As his Instagram handle suggests, surfing comes naturally to him, and even when he is away from the ocean he still manages to surf – on the turf that is, with surfskate boards. Marat is one of our favourite surfing Instagrammers in the region with some of the best snaps to check out.

Our final surfing Instagrammer of the day is Anne Cortes. Known as badfishinareef on Instagram, Anne has amassed over 7000 followers who love the good life – the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Travelling around the world seeking new adventures, Anne manages to surf wherever possible – motivating us to do the same out here in the UAE – when we have some waves decent waves that is.

To get on board with the local surfing crowd, you’ll definitely need the right swimwear. Check out our swimwear collections for a mixture of luxury, lifestyle and performance products to get you started.
