With the novel virus cases on the rise, communities across the globe are constantly looking at ways to keep themselves healthy and safe. A strong immune system and a calm mind are your best defenses against all the diseases, and it is very essential to maintain it well.

An individual can implement preventive measures to keep themselves away from harm’s way.
While we usually tend to worry about our health and immune system only during the cold and flu season, taking care of our body should be a priority all year long. But if you haven’t been able to implement that, now is just the right time to do it.

Let’s have a quick look at some of immunity building foods.

Taking care of the immunity system isn’t the only thing that you should be looking into during such times. Maintaining a calm and composed mind set is also very essential. And the best way to do it is keeping yourself stress free. During stressful times we usually rely on our friends and family members, however this situation is a bit different from the usual.

Social distancing can be a challenging task for quite a few of us. It is likely that they may get better with time as you adjust to your “new normal”. So, we’ve jolted a few points which can be helpful in keeping the mindset calm.

  • Reduce your exposure to anxiety – producing news and discussions.
  • Practice a mindful activity everyday like yoga or stretching.
  • Try to maintain a daily routine of your activities with a help of a scheduler.
  • Practice an existing or a new hobby such as reading, painting or meditation.
  • Challenge negative thoughts.

Tough times don’t last, tough people do. There is nothing wrong with having negative thoughts as they are part of a human thought process. Feel and understand you deserve better and take action that causes you to spend more time feeling great and supporting your immune system!
