Vans sneakers are not just shoes. They are the product of more than 50 years of Off The Wall heritage. They are your personality reflected through different designs and colours. They are the extension of your lifestyle and creative pursuits. Vans is Not Just One Thing – it can be anything and everything to anyone.
This campaign highlights the versatility of the five beloved Vans classic styles, and how they create culture and keep on evolving with the trends. This season, your favourites get a fresh spin in new hues.
This is the first shoe out of the Vans family, and it was well loved by skaters and trend-setters. Known as Style #44 Deck Shoe in 1966, the simple shoe has endured and adapted to every trend. The low-top, lace-up and round toe silhouette comes in a variety of exciting colourways and prints.
Originally called Style #95 in 1976, the Era features a padded collar for support and double-stitched canvas for durability when skateboarding. The new season C&L Era 59 Shoe has the same canvas upper, but with leather heel accents and rounded laces. These Vans sneakers look smart casual, but still feature that skater heritage feel.
It’s street-friendly and goes with anything – the Old Skool became one of the best-selling and most popular Vans sneakers recently without even trying. Known as Style #36 in 1977, this was the first Vans that had leather panels and carried the now iconic Sidestripe. The original black-and-white colourway turns all-white this season, and it looks fresh for spring.
In 1978, Vans introduced Style #38 with a high padded collar for better ankle support, and reinforced upper for flexibility to withstand all the wear and tear. You don’t have to be a skater to rock the Sk8-Hi’s “ribbed” look – mix and match with jeans or chino pants for that streetwear style.
Probably the most recognisable of all Vans silhouettes is the Style #98 released in 1977, now known as the classic Slip-On. It’s simple, comfortable and part of the skater kids’ “uniform” because of its padded collars and flexible elastic sides. And the Vans checkerboard print is simply timeless.
