FLYKNIT TECHNOLOGY

Cool in the eyes and even cooler in terms of technology, this shoe is engineered with a Flyknit upper, which sees a blend of lightweight yarns and fabric knitted in for a structured support and a precision fit. Like your favourite sock, the Flyknit upper wraps and protects the foot in breathable comfort, making this a top choice for running, even in high heat conditions. It’s 19% lighter, meaning less weight to carry around to the finish line or around town.

The Dynamic flywire cables composed of strong Vectran fibre are placed strategically around the upper for a lockdown fit that adapts to the foot in motion. Another aspect of the Flyknit design – and something the Innovation Kitchen team considers in all Nike products – is its sustainability. Instead of cutting, stamping and assembling the shoe in a traditional way, the Flyknit is machine stitched to a one piece upper, which lessens excess material and wastage. The bottom is a full-length Phylon midsole foam that is highly responsive. While the waffle-skin outsole with diamond pattern for surface traction is designed for racing.
