Break Your Record With Nike Zoom Fly

From late 2016 to early 2017, a handful of world-class athletes were training hard in an attempt to run a marathon under two hours; something no human being had done before.

With Dennis Kimetto already setting the bar high with a World Record 2:02:57 marathon in 2014, it got the world thinking: What it would take to shave these vital, seconds and minutes off? Better nutrition? Hydration? Negative splits? Or, perhaps, it was all about the running shoes.

The Nike Zoom Fly, now available at Sun & Sand Sports uses the same technology that in 2017 allowed 19 out of 36 top podium finishes in the World Major Marathons. It is almost as though, while we may never be the Eliud Kipchoge achieving 2:00:25 in the “Breaking 2” marathon, we still want to feel the same speed, response and comfort beneath our feet in the perfect running shoes for long distances. This is what you can get from the Nike Zoom Fly Shoe.

Ultimate upper support

Starting up top, the Nike Zoom Fly is designed with Flymesh material, and a seamless lining that is both breathable and lightweight for maximum comfort in the toe box. Flywire technology (strategically placed filaments) surround the forefoot on either side, which perform like cables on a suspension bridge, giving support where it is needed.

Midsole magic

There’s a fine balance between having light running shoes to be able to pick your feet up constantly on a fast-paced run and cushioning the pounding of your feet as you land and lift off again. The Lunarlon foam midsole cushions the impact of your feet on the ground, spreading forces evenly while also encouraging your foot to spring back up. A carbon-infused nylon plate also features in the midsole to provide extra propulsion.

In addition, the heel drop is 10mm, meaning that it’s specially made to minimise Achilles strain; especially for distance runners.

Robust rubber outsole

The reinforced rubber on the outsole, especially in the forefoot and heel makes the Nike Zoom Fly running shoes resilient while training and just as suitable for when it comes to race day.

Get faster, get serious and go for the Nike Zoom Fly shoe, ready for your training runs and races. Set your goal by writing the name of your marathon location on the inside of the tongue and etch your predicted time at the back of the right shoe.
