Nike Golf: Fairway Fashion

The ladies of the green are ready for another round at the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic happening from December 6 to 9 at the Emirates Golf Club. This is part of the Ladies European Tour, the leading women’s professional golf tour in Europe. Last year, China’s Shanshan Feng took home the Omega Dubai Ladies trophy. Feng, the current world’s number one for women, will be returning to the Majilis course to defend her title and vie for her fifth Dubai Ladies crown.

Other confirmed golf superstars returning are current world number eight, South Korean Kim In-kyung, who will attempt to take her second Dubai Ladies trophy; and the Norwegian and two-time Ladies Professional Golf Association Major Championships winner Suzann Pettersen in hopes to win her first Dubai Ladies title.

Whether taking part in golfing action of your own or spectating at the Omega Dubai Ladies gallery, Nike Golf has the latest women’s apparel, accessories and shoes for that standout fairway performance and fashion.

It can get intense out there on the green and under the sun, so for enhanced breathability try the Nike Golf Zonal Cooling Polo Shirt with V-neck design, Dri-FIT technology, strategic ventilation in key areas and all-over mesh construction.

With the dropping temperatures out come the layers. Put on the Nike Golf long-sleeved Therma top above your shirts to stay warm. It features sweat-wicking exterior, brushed interior for warmth and half-zip mock neck for extra coverage.

Golf requires players to walk and bend a lot, so comfortable and unrestrictive pants are a must. The sport-specific Nike Golf Jean 3.0 resembles regular jeans with five pockets and button with zip fly closure. But it’s made with stretchy poly-cotton elastane fabric for freedom of movement. It looks great off the course too!

If you prefer something short, the Nike Golf range includes a selection of skorts (skirt with built-in shorts). This 14.5-inch Precision Knit Print 2.0 Skort in monochrome stripes wicks away sweat, has an elastic waistband and attached inner for support.

Modern golf shoes

Collect your course mileage in modern, spike-less Nike Golf shoes. The Course Classic is durable and a little more formal in white leather upper, and the outsole features pressure-mapped studs for grip. While the Lunar Control Vapor Shoe borrows style from running shoes today, it has Lunarlon cushioning for lasting comfort, waterproof NikeSkin technology on the upper and the Articulated Integrated Traction design that has “modern teeth” that connect you to the ground – no matter the condition.

Accessorise it

Protect your eyes from the glare of the sun and keep sweat out of your face with this Perforated Adjustable Cap. The panels are perforated for better airflow and it has an adjustable Velcro strap at the back. Then match your pants with the Modern Plaque belt in premium leather and polished buckle.

Comfort and style is on par with the new season Nike Golf collection for women at sssports.com. Remember, you can still shop even when on the golf course and elsewhere by downloading the new Sun & Sand Sports app.
