Another season full of high-octane action and high-quality football has come to a close, and after reviewing the European football season\u2019s continental winners<\/a>, we look at some of the winners of the top domestic leagues across Europe, as part of our European Football Review 2022\/23.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

English Premier League: Manchester City<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A season that was starting to look like a tipping point for a certain London side to return to their former glory, before their title hopes got derailed by a marauding Pep Guardiola side. It was Manchester City who ended up winning the title for the third consecutive year, pipping eventual runners-up Arsenal to the trophy. History is currently in the making, and a true dynasty is being built as City\u2019s dominance over England continues.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Champions League<\/strong>: Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Europa League<\/strong>: Liverpool, Brighton, West Ham United*<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conference League: Aston Villa<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relegation: Leicester City, Leeds United, Southampton<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

*West Ham United qualified for the Europa League by way of winning the UEFA Conference League, as they finished 14th in the league<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

La Liga: Barcelona<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After 4 years without a league title, Barcelona are back on top of the Spanish La Liga and convincingly so. Barcelona maintained top spot for majority of the season, where arch-rivals and previous holders Real Madrid were unable to catch up with Barcelona\u2019s consistency.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Champions League<\/strong>: FC Barcelona*, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Sevilla*<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Europa League<\/strong>: Villarreal, Real Betis<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conference League<\/strong>: Osasuna<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relegation<\/strong>: Valladolid, Espanyol, Elche<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00a0*Sevilla qualified for the Champions League by way of winning the UEFA Europa League, as they finished 12th in the league<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ligue 1: Paris Saint-Germain<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A controversial season for the Parisians, who were not always at their best this season, especially after boasting their star-studded attack. Despite a sensational title-push from RC Lens, PSG managed to successfully defend their crown. While PSG showcased their powers en route to retaining their title, it wasn\u2019t always smooth sailing, after plenty of fan backlash from their Champions League failures. but this didn\u2019t stop them from topping the pile in France.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Champions League*: Paris Saint-Germain, RC Lens<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Europa League<\/strong>: Marseille<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conference League<\/strong>: Rennes, Lille<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relegation: Auxerre, Ajaccio, Troyes, Angers<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

*Ligue 1 only had 2 spots for UEFA Champions League qualification due to the current league ranking under UEFA<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bundesliga: Bayern Munich<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Arguably Europe\u2019s most exciting league this season in terms of competitiveness, Bayern Munich sensationally won the title in the final minutes of the season, having started the final day behind eventual runners-up Borussia Dortmund. RB Leipzig and Union Berlin all hovered around that top spot throughout the season, making for a very unpredictable season. But it\u2019s the Bavarians who rule over German football once again.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Champions League<\/strong>: Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Union Berlin<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Europa League<\/strong>: SC Freiburg, Bayer 04 Leverkusen<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conference League<\/strong>: Eintracht Frankfurt<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relegation*: FC Schalke 04, Hertha BSC<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

*Compared to the traditional relegation spots in other leagues, two teams were relegated and the side 3rd from bottom escaped relegation via a relegation playoff match <\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Serie A: Napoli<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the most dominating title run in Europe\u2019s top leagues this season, Napoli raced away to Scudetto glory after overcoming all potential competition, remaining virtually unchallenged throughout the season. Having wrapped up the title victory with 5 league games to spare. A sensational victory, given this is only Napoli\u2019s third ever Serie A title, and their first since 1990.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Champions League<\/strong>: Napoli, Lazio, Inter Milan, AC Milan<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Europa League<\/strong>: Atalanta, Roma<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conference League<\/strong>: Juventus*<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relegation<\/strong>: Spezia, Cremonese, Sampdoria<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00a0*Juventus dropped down to the Conference League qualification, after originally finishing in the Top 4, due to a points deduction.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
